Nearly 2 years ago there was a swatting incident at the Ubisoft offices in Montreal. Where a 22 year old who enjoyed cheating in Rainbow Six Siege decided to call in a fake hostage situation to the police. Armored cars and law enforcement surrounded the Ubisoft building, as the employees inside barricaded themselves or took to the roof as they knew little of what was going on besides what was being posted to social media. The kid was caught for the hoax, and has now been sentenced to 3 years in jail. ____________________________________________ The Gamer Update is your leading source of gaming and esports news.
