NewsGetting noticed as a high school basketball player can be more difficult than it may seem. Although it may not seem impossible to believe now, Stephen Curry of the Golden State Warriors knows exactly how that feels. Upon graduating from high school in 2005, Curry enrolled in Davidson College to continue his basketball career after getting turned away from top collegiate basketball programs. While he is now a three-time NBA champion and two-time NBA MVP, he was once a three-star prospect who didn't have any believers. But Curry remained undeterred. With hard work and optimism, Curry turned his doubters into believers. However, he recognizes that not every high school athlete will get the same opportunities as him, so Curry started the Underrated Tour. With this tour, high school basketball players will have the chance to prove their abilities and potential to coaches and scouts everywhere. Curry knows what it means to be overlooked and underrated, and he's doing something about it. Starting in January 2019, the Underrated Tour will make seven stops in seven cities across the U.S. to give these ambitious three-star prospects the chance to take the next step in their basketball journey. Curry hopes that these promising student athletes will find the guidance they need to turn doubters into believers. Rakuten is proud to partner with Steph Curry and the Underrated Tour to help young basketball players reach their full potential, just like Curry did with diligence and optimism. Those who push boundaries and exceed expectations are innovators, no matter what space they're in, and Rakuten's partnership with Stephen Curry and the Underrated Tour will fuel endless opportunities for innovators everywhere. With Curry, Rakuten hopes to set the bar to even greater heights because we believe in the future. Learn more about Rakuten, Stephen Curry and the Underrated Tour here: https://www.rakuten.com/
